- Exam Exemptions: NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders are exempted from the UPSC exam for certain defense positions. For example, six vacancies per course in the Navy, with no UPSC exam required, only an SSB interview. Additionally, NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders receive a two-year age relaxation.
- Short Service Commission: The Short Service Commission NCC (Special Entry Scheme) allows direct entry without a written exam. This scheme involves SSB interviews, and successful candidates are granted Short Service Commission. The Indian Air Force reserves 10% of seats in all courses, including the flying training course.
