The Madhya Pradesh Home Ministry transferred several IPS officers late on Saturday night. The state government transferred 39 IPS officers shortly after the transfer of the collectors of 14 districts. These include officers at the DG, ADG, IG, and SP levels.
Monika Shukla, the SP of Raisen district, has been appointed as the SP of Vidisha district, while the SP of Raisen district has been reassigned as the Assistant Inspector General of Police, PHQ.
Notably, the government had lifted the ban on transfers until August 31, yet transfer orders for other departments continue to be issued.
MP IPS Officers Transferred
- Pawan Kumar Jain, a 1987 batch IPS officer, has been appointed Director General (DG) of Home Guard, moving from his previous position as Director of the Sports and Youth Welfare Department.
- DC Sagar, a 1992 batch IPS officer, has been posted as Additional Director General (ADG) in the Shahdol Zone. Sagar was previously serving as ADG of Police in PTI, Bhopal.
- Janardan, also a 1992 batch IPS officer, has been reassigned as ADG of Police, PTRI at Bhopal Police Headquarters, moving from his previous role in the Shahdol Zone.
- Ravi Kumar Gupta, a 1993 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Director of Sports and Youth Welfare. Gupta was previously ADG of Police in the Economic Offenses Cell.
- Ashutosh Rai, a 1994 batch IPS officer, has been transferred from ADG of Police Jail to ADG of Police, Balaghat Zone.
- Yogesh Deshmukh, a 1995 batch IPS officer, has been removed from his position as ADG of Police, Ujjain Zone, and reassigned as ADG of Police, Cyber Cell, at Bhopal Police Headquarters.
- KP Venkateswara Rao, a 1995 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as ADG of Police for the Rewa Zone, moving from his previous role in the Balaghat Zone.
- Yogesh Chaudhary, a 1996 batch IPS officer, has been posted as ADG of Police, Cyber Cell Bhopal, and also as ADG of Police Secretariat-2. His headquarters will be at the police headquarters.
- Umesh Joga, a 1997 batch IPS officer, has been reassigned from Inspector General (IG) of Rewa Zone to IG of Police in Jabalpur.
- Deepika Suri, a 1999 batch IPS officer, has been transferred from IG of Police Disaster Management Home Guard to IG of Police Hoshangabad Zone.
- Santosh Kumar Singh, a 2000 batch IPS officer, has been posted as IG of Police in Ujjain Zone, moving from his previous position as IG of Police (Secretary).
- Jitendra Singh, a 2001 batch IPS officer, has been removed from the post of IG of Police Hoshangabad and reassigned as IG of Police (Women Crime) at Police Headquarters.
- BS Chauhan, a 2002 batch IPS officer, has been transferred from IG of Jabalpur to DIG of Bhopal at PHQ Bhopal.
- Ashok Goel, a 2003 batch IPS officer, has been moved from IG Police Headquarters to IG of Police, Police Reforms Department at Bhopal Police Headquarters.

SP and ASP Transfers
The State Government’s Home Department has also transferred many officers at the DG Home Guard, ADG, and IG levels.
Along with these changes, the SP and ASP of several districts have also been reassigned. The updated list was released on Saturday night.
New SP Assignments
- Navneet Bhasin, a 2009 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Rewa. Bhasin was previously working as Assistant Inspector General of Police at Police Headquarters.
- Sunil Kumar Pandey, a 2009 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as SP of Mandsaur district, moving from his role as Assistant Inspector General of Police at PHQ.
- Monika Shukla, a 2009 batch IPS officer, has been reassigned as SP of Vidisha district, previously serving as SP of Raisen. Shukla will now oversee the Chief Minister’s area.
- Sunil Kumar Jain, a 2009 batch IPS officer, has been transferred from SP of Jabalpur Railway to SP of Katni.
- TK Vidyarthi, a 2009 batch IPS officer, has been reassigned from the 34th Corps Visbal Dhar to SP of Niwari district.
- Nimish Aggarwal, a 2010 batch IPS officer, has been transferred from Barwani SP to SP of Indore PTS.
- Manoj Kumar Singh, a 2010 batch IPS officer, has been reassigned from Assistant Inspector General of Police PHQ to SP of Alirajpur.
- Rakesh Kumar Singh, a 2010 batch IPS officer, has been posted from SP of Rewa to the 13th Corps in Gwalior.
- Mayank Awasthi, a 2012 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as SP of Sehore district, moving from his position as SP of Katni.
- Vinayak Verma, a 2013 batch IPS officer, has been reassigned from Vidisha SP to SP of Jabalpur Railway.
- Deepak Kumar Shukla, a 2014 batch IPS officer, has been transferred from the 13th Corps Visbal Gwalior to SP of Barwani.
- Gurukaran Singh, a 2014 batch IPS officer, has been reassigned from SP of Bhopal Cyber Cell to SP of Hoshangabad district.
- Vikas Kumar Sehwal, a 2014 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as SP of Raisen, moving from his role as Umaria SP.
- Nivedita Gupta, a 2014 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as Indore SP (Rail), moving from Fighter 14th Corps Gwalior.
- Shashindra Chauhan, a 2014 batch IPS officer, has been reassigned from SP of Sehore to SP of PTS Sagar.
- Kiranlata Kerketta has been appointed as SP of Indore Railway, moving from her position as Assistant Inspector General of Police at Bhopal Headquarters.
- Alok Kumar has been reassigned from SP of Niwari to Fighter 14th Vehicle Visbal Gwalior.
- Siddharth Chaudhary has been transferred from SP of Mandsaur to Fighter 24th Corps Visbal Javra Ratlam.
- Pramod Kumar Sinha has been appointed as SP of Umaria district, moving from his position as Assistant Inspector General of Police at PHQ.
- Vijay Bhagwani has been transferred from SP of Alirajpur district to Assistant Inspector General of Police at PHQ.
- Santosh Singh Gaur, a 2009 batch IPS officer, has been reassigned from SP of Hoshangabad to Assistant Inspector General of Police at PHQ. The state government has issued a separate order for his reassignment.
