Essentials for doing a BSc course

For admission to the B.Sc course, the student must have passed 12th from a recognized board and must have passed 12th with at least 50% marks. However, 60 percent of marks are also compulsory in some colleges.

For the Bsc course, it is mandatory for the student to have passed 12th from the Science side and the student must have subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Intermediate.

BSc Course Fees

If you do a Bsc course from any government college then your total expenditure will be around 12000-15000. (three years inclusive)

Apart from this, there are separate examination fees in each semester which correspond to each semester. It ranges between 400-500.

The fees of private colleges are according to their college. The total cost of this can be up to 40-50 thousand.

Subjects of Bsc Course

The combination of subjects in Bsc is as follows:

Students who have Mathematics subject in 12th have to choose these three subjects in B.Sc. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry. Every semester students have to give three papers on each subject, for example –

  • Physics – Paper 1st, Paper 2nd, Paper 3rd.
  • Chemistry – Paper 1st, Paper 2nd, Paper 3rd.
  • Maths – Paper 1st, Paper 2nd, Paper 3rd.

That is, 9 papers have to be given in each semester, apart from this, students with BSc (Math) also have to give practicals in two subjects Physics and Chemistry in each semester.

Students who have Biology subject in 12th. They have to choose these three subjects in B.Sc Chemistry, Zoology, Botany i.e. BSc (Bio). These students also have to take three papers for each subject in each semester, like:

  • Botany – Paper 1st, Paper 2nd, Paper 3rd
  • Chemistry – Paper 1st, Paper 2nd, Paper 3rd
  • Zoology – Paper 1st, Paper 2nd, Paper 3rd

In each semester, the students have to appear in these 9 papers in each semester as well as practical exams for three subjects Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology.

Scope after Bsc

After doing a BSc course, you can earn thousands of rupees through tuition sitting at home and also you get many options for a better career, by doing this course –

If you want to study further then you can do Post Graduation after B.Sc like – MSc, MCA, MBA, B.Ed, LLM etc.

If you want to do a job then you can make your career in a government job like Forest Department, RBI, IAF, Indian Railway, Food Department, Education Department etc.

Similarly in the private sector, you can also do jobs in Companies, hospitals, Industries, Factories, Laboratories etc.
